This page explains how you can delete your CountTally account and all data associated with it.

How to delete your account (in-app)

You can delete your account directly from the app at any time:

  1. Open CountTally and go to Account.
  2. Make sure you are logged in.
  3. Scroll to the bottom and tap Delete account.
  4. Confirm the warning. Your account and all associated data are then deleted immediately and permanently.

What gets deleted

Deleting your account permanently and irreversibly removes, from our servers:

  • your login account (identity),
  • all your counters, counter events and history,
  • groups, sessions, tags, presets and scoreboard sets,
  • your themes, quick actions and reminders,
  • your registered devices and sync data,
  • collaboration rooms you own, and your memberships/invitations in other rooms,
  • your entitlement records and purchase receipts held on our servers.

Data stored only locally on your device is removed together with the account deletion on that device. If you use CountTally on other devices, uninstalling the app or choosing “Delete local data” removes the remaining local copy there.

Deleting individual data (without deleting your account)

  • You can delete individual data at any time in the app, without deleting your whole account: open a counter (or group, session, tag, preset, scoreboard or theme) and delete it. Deleting a counter also removes its full event history.
  • If you are logged in, these deletions are synced to our servers and removed there as well — no account deletion needed.
  • To wipe all local data on a device without deleting your account, log out and choose “Delete local data” (or uninstall the app).

What is not affected

Active store subscriptions are not cancelled by deleting your account. Subscriptions (Pro, Premium) are billed and managed by the platform. To stop billing, cancel the subscription separately:

  • Google Play: Play Store → Profile → Payments & subscriptions → Subscriptions.
  • Apple App Store: Settings → your name → Subscriptions.

Purchase data that we are legally required to retain for tax and accounting purposes may be kept in our accounting systems in a form that is no longer linked to your deleted account, strictly for the statutory retention period.

Deletion without the app

If you can no longer access the app, you can request deletion of your account and data by e-mail to info@counttally.com. Please write from the e-mail address associated with your account so we can verify your request.
